Pizza and Video Game pairing
Pizza and Video Games have a long and storied history together. I still remember the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles collecting pizza to restore health. Even Mario and Luigi, two of the most famous characters in video game history, are rumored to be named after a pizzeria near Nintendo’s American Headquarters. Various pizza-based games, such as Yo! Noid (remember that old mascot?) and Pizza Tycoon are still well-known today.
You’ve heard of wine pairing? Well in this post we match our favorite Pittsburgh Pizza Sola slices with the hottest games out there to get the most out of this delicious combination!
Match your favorite pizza slice to your favorite video game
5. Portal 2 and Sergeant Peppers

If you are going to escape Aperture Science yet again and outsmart the devious puzzles put in place by GLaDOS, you need some serious brain food. Luckily, our Sergeant Peppers pizza has all the veggies you’ll need, with a delicious flavor, to figure out the game’s labyrinth in no time.
The great taste of our classic crust with sweet green bell peppers, roasted red peppers and mild banana peppers will keep your brain focused. So if you’re stuck, stop and grab another slice, and you’ll be on your way in no time.
The cake may be a lie, but this pizza is for real.
4. Mortal Kombat 9 and Ring of Fire
The online King Of The Hill battles, where you wait in line to fight the best opponent in each room, makes it a perfect time to snack on a slice while you wait to exact revenge.
The Ring of Fire pizza from Pizza Sola will keep that fire burning as your tastebuds sizzle to the sliced pepperoni and in-house roasted jalapeno peppers that adorn this delicious pie.
With my hunger satisfied, i am ready to use Scorpion (my fave character) to burn up the competition, summoning flames and finishing off my foes with a fiery Fatality.
Toasty!
3. Fallout: New Vegas and The Vendetta
Truly a match made in pizza heaven.
The events of the post-apocalyptic adventure game is so engrossing, you can often forget to eat for long periods of time. Once you snap back to it, though, we recommend a slice of The Vendetta.
As your character begins the game by being ambushed, shot and left for dead, what slice could be more appropriate? Homemade pesto sauce, fresh tomatoes, and mozzarella cheese will keep your stomach happy and you focused on finding the city of New Vegas and exacting your revenge.
2. Rock Band and Half BBQ, Half Buffalo Chicken
This one is simple, but a great way to mix it up when the whole real, or pretend, band is over for a jam session. Ask for a Pizza Sola pie that is half BBQ and half Buffalo Chicken for a real treat.
While you’re taking a break from lead vocals as the solos rage on, you can munch on either of your favorites – grilled chicken slathered with BBQ sauce with peppers or our delicious chicken with buffalo sauce, peppers and bleu cheese.
Now you can be the rock star of the next game and party night at your place with this great pie!
1. Call of Duty: Black Ops and The Carnivore
In between rounds or camping in your favorite hideout looking for prey, keep the need to fuel your killstreaks going with a slice of our incredible Carnivore pizza.
Loaded with homemade sausage, pepperoni and capicola, this is the ultimate Red Pizza. Tons of protein to keep you going through the late hours of the night (we all do it) and filling enough to keep you focused on your objective.
Instead of getting spawn killed by the gunship, have another slice instead.
